Myth (V) . Rest days are not necessary
You need recovery days for your muscles to rest, just like you need to sleep every day. Think of your recovery days as days for your muscles to sleep. In addition to increasing your potential for muscle strains, stress fractures, and joint pain, exercising without adequate rest and recovery can lead to more serious problems like extreme fatigue, hormonal imbalance, and mood swings. So take a day or two off after intense training, but make sure to incorporate movement on those days to stay agile and active.
